    Diamond 3.5 Released

Diamond 3.5 (for Leopard and Snow Leopard only) is now available. I have made some bug fixes, tweaks, and restored the Check for Update feature. This version is preparatory to the upcoming Diamond 4, coming in October. All Leopard users are urged to upgrade to this release.

This is the last Diamond-related post that will be cross-posted on the geoffreyalexander.com RSS channel. The domain name will soon target a new site exclusive to my writing and weblog; Diamond will continue to be accessible through this site (hosted by Squarespace) at www.alexandersoftware.squarespace.com.

    moving!

Now that I've moved, Ill be moving the website as well (and hopefully finishing it soon). I'll try to give some notice a day or two before this location goes down if there is no overlap in service with the new site, but otherwise the move should be transparent.

    Onward!

    Sapphire Beta is available

…sorry it took longer than I thought. And hopefully this week I’ll have some additional content up in the Essays area. This is not the time of year I enjoy being swamped with work….

    Survivability

As something of a follow-up to my last posting I should mention that I enjoyed my birthday, and remember all of it, but Saturday was different; I last recall having a Ham and Cheese sandwich at The High Life Lounge (for those of you not in Des Moines, yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like) watching the Cubs game, and the next thing I remember clearly is waking up (in bed, fortunately) Sunday morning at about 5am with disconcerting aches and pains — but with everything else complete and intact. Well, I was told later that day that the previous (Saturday) evening I was was discovered by the household staff in the phone closet across from my apartment, wrestling on the floor with the equipment; earlier, I was seen outside the building, talking to a tree.

I’m lucky I even survived middle age, really.
