One more thing:
I understand that having a horizontal layout is one of the key design principles of Diamond. But can we have an option for the traditional, continuous, vertical layout as well?
Best,

Hi, thanks for the kind words and suggestions. I'm working on some of these and some are harder than others; some I might have soon. As for using the desktop background, you can do that now, just navigate to the folder that has those images and select it.
I have seriously thought about a version of Diamond that has traditional vertical scrolling, but until a few more features are nailed down and bugs removed in the 3.x series I probably won't have one soon. Unfortunately I haven't found a way yet of having both styles in the same app as options.
Hello,
I was actually planning to write myself an editor with such a minimalist look. Thank you very much for saving me from that burden.
I have a few requests though:
I want to ...
* Turn off the resize handle but still be able to resize the window. Possible solutions are going into resize mode when clicked on the right bottom (the place which shows a red blob when clicked now) or be able to toggle resize handle on the go with a keyboard shortcut.
* Have a non-blinking cursor
* Be able to set different opacity to text and page background (as in Textmate) I want to a very transparent page but a totally opaque text.
* Use desktop background as the backdrop, so that I get rid the junk on the desktop but still be able to see today's background.
* Get cascading new windows, now they open on top of each other. In other words, there should be a default size but not a default place.
Thank you very much again for the nice work.
